The thermal water is so great which you have to get used to since it has a temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius. It is pretty hot so the first thing to do is dip your toes to check if it’s too hot for you. You can’t actually do laps there since the water would not permit you but if you are accustomed to sauna baths and real natural waters, this would be the best place for you to relax for tired muscles.
The other attractions in Miskolc-Tapolca evolve around the Boat Lake but what you could really visit and have fun at are the caves wherein you could go trekking and rappelling to your heart’s delight. In the Cave Chapel, you would feel as if you are so once with nature since this chapel is located underground which you could reach by foot alone. Better you bring along your hiking boots to make your exploration very comfortable.
There came a time when the temperature at Miskolc-Tapolca dove to as low as -35 degrees Celsius. Even though Hungary is known for their 0 degrees, a negative mark would really keep you indoors since the weather is too cold for outdoors. Although this happened back in the 40s, the standard climate ranges from very cold to just right cold of around 11 degrees Celsius.
On a general note, when you visit the thermal and healing waters of Miskolc-Tapolca, you will notice that your skin infections would gradually decrease. For people suffering from Psoriasis, the waters within that temperature would serve as a healing component for the cracked, inflamed skin. Although it would be advisable to put some body lotion after the soak since the chilly air would instantly dry the skin all over again.
